He was an Impressionist painter from the Netherlands who was born in 1853, in Groot-Zundert, the son of pastors. He had a brother named Theo, with whom he maintained a very close relationship throughout his life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlike other well-known artists, Van Gogh did not begin painting as a child; instead, he started at the age of 27, in 1880, after trying and failing to meet his parents\u2019 expectations. This caused him an emotional crisis, and he turned to art as a way to express himself. His early jobs included working as an art dealer in a gallery, which led him to live in London and Paris. His life was marked by instability and mental struggles, but his work\u2014recognized only after his death\u2014is among the most influential and popular in the history of art, especially his painting The Starry Night<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
