My full name is Hernan Mateo Avellaneda Moncayo and I am 21 years old. I am from Quito and I was born on October 17, 2004. I was born in the south of Quito and lived there for my first four years; later, my family and I moved to the valley because of my brother\u2019s birth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Academic and work life<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

All my academic life I went from one school to another, so I don\u2019t remember much about any of them, and I barely remember the people I met. Honestly, I don\u2019t remember much about my childhood at all. I graduated as an agricultural technician from a school called \u201cNina Pacha.\u201d After that, I started working in different things, such as sales or dressing up as a mascot for advertising campaigns. The job I had most consistently was at a print shop, and while working there, I studied Economics at ESPE, but I only completed the first semester because my work schedule didn\u2019t allow me to continue.
A few months later, I started studying to obtain my English proficiency certification and achieved a C1 level. After that, I got a more stable job at H&M, where I worked for a few months. Now, a few years later, I finally returned to university and I\u2019m studying for a degree in Linguistics. In the future, I would like to work in translation. I\u2019m very happy right now because I spent a long time feeling empty, but now that I\u2019m studying something related to one of my passions foreign languages I feel a sense of purpose.
In the future, I\u2019d like to move to Canada, work in my field, and live a peaceful life. I also really like the idea of starting a family and becoming a father.<\/p>\n\n\n

Free time<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve always loved everything related to terror\/horror; all my life I\u2019ve felt drawn to that kind of movie, and I\u2019ve always dreamed of making one. The first one I watched was Evil Dead<\/em>, and from that day on it became a part of me. I also love video games and see them as art; I love taking photos of them. My all-time favorite band is Cage the Elephant<\/em>, and I think they\u2019ve shaped a lot of my musical taste.<\/p>\n\n\n
