My name is Yasmin Argaz Montenegro. I’m 23 years old. I was born on September 25th in Rome, Italy. I came to Ecuador when I was 5 and I’ve lived here since.<\/p>\n\n\n

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science from U.E. \u201cEugenio Espejo\u201d in 2020. Having graduated from high school at 17 during the Covid-19 pandemic, I felt unsure about my path, so my first option was to look for a job. It wasn\u2019t easy, but in 2021 I got my first job as an English tutor. I had a few informal jobs until, in 2022, I obtained my first fully formal job at Corporaci\u00f3n Favorita, where I worked for two years. I eventually resigned to focus entirely on my studies. I had to obtain an official certification of my English level to enter the program, so I prepared on my own and earned the CAE (Certificate of Advanced English) from Cambridge last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am currently studying the first semester of the Linguistics program at PUCE. I always knew that my professional path would be related to languages, since I showed ease with English from primary school. The difficult part was finding this degree, as all my options seemed to be focused solely on teaching, which didn\u2019t really appeal to me.
