After dominating the Billboard rock charts with the release of their anniversary album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge (Deluxe Edition) in 2025, My Chemical Romance has confirmed an exciting South American tour scheduled for early 2026. The legendary emo-rock band will perform in five countries: Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Brazil, making this one of the most anticipated events for fans across the region.

Tour Details and Special Guests
The South American leg will feature The Hives, the acclaimed Swedish garage rock band, as special guests for all dates. While specific cities and venues have yet to be announced, expectations are high for large stadium and arena shows given the band’s massive following.
This announcement comes during a milestone year for the New Jersey-based group, which also has a 10-date stadium tour across North America planned for summer 2025. That tour will focus on their iconic concept album The Black Parade (2006), which was reissued in 2016 to celebrate its 10th anniversary. The North American run kicks off on July 11 in Seattle, stops in major cities like Los Angeles and New York, and wraps up on September 13 in Tampa, Florida.
A Nod to the Past with “Helena”
The South American tour announcement was made via Instagram, accompanied by the classic track “Helena” from Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge (2004). This detail has sparked speculation among fans that the setlist may lean heavily on hits from that album, offering a different experience compared to the North American shows centered on The Black Parade.
Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge Returns to No. 1
The album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, which propelled My Chemical Romance to global fame in 2004, recently reclaimed the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Rock & Alternative Albums, Top Rock Albums, and Top Alternative Albums charts as of June 21, 2025. The deluxe edition includes remastered tracks and bonus material, reigniting nostalgia among longtime fans.
A Brief History of the Band
Formed in 2001 by Gerard Way in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks, My Chemical Romance began as a way to channel raw emotion during a turbulent time. With the help of Matt Pelissier, and later joined by Ray Toro and Mikey Way, the band crafted a unique sound blending alternative rock, punk, and theatrical elements. Their debut album arrived in 2002, but it was Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge (2004) that catapulted them to stardom. In 2006, they cemented their legacy with the conceptual masterpiece The Black Parade. After disbanding in 2013, the group reunited in 2019, ushering in a new era that continues to captivate millions worldwide.
