Unlike other well-known artists, Van Gogh did not begin painting as a child; instead, he started at the age of 27, in 1880, after trying and failing to meet his parents’ expectations. This caused him an emotional crisis, and he turned to art as a way to express himself. His early jobs included working as an art dealer in a gallery, which led him to live in London and Paris. His life was marked by instability and mental struggles, but his work—recognized only after his death—is among the most influential and popular in the history of art, especially his painting The Starry Night.

His most famous works include:

The Starry Night (1889): One of the most famous paintings in the world, created during his stay at the Saint-Rémy-de-Provence asylum.

Sunflowers (1888–1889): A series of paintings that depict the beauty of sunflowers, with several versions preserved in different museums.

Bedroom in Arles (1888): Represents the artist’s room in Arles, with three existing versions, each with slight variations in color and perspective.

Café Terrace at Night (1888): An iconic painting that portrays the atmosphere of a café in Arles, characterized by the use of yellow and the contrast with the night sky.

The Potato Eaters (1885): Considered his first masterpiece, this painting shows the harsh life of peasants, with earthy tones and raw realism.

He liked to paint landscapes, but today it wouldn´t be so beautiful to do so because Climate change has destroyed many natural landscapes he was still live, he would like the book Normal person.
